About Our Counsellors

Each of our counsellors are fully qualified and members of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (BACP). We are passionate about the work we do and ensure we are ethical in the way we conduct the counselling service and ourselves.

Our experience ranges are:  relationship difficulties , divorce/separation, abuse, childhood trauma, bereavement/loss, depression/anxiety, anger, stress, low self esteem, eating disorders/addictions, lack of fulfilment and direction, loneliness/alienation and work difficulties.

Debbie Langdon, BA (Hons), MBACP

Debbie has been working at NMCA since 2012. She is a qualified integrative relational therapist and is accredited by the BACP. Her experience includes working with adults and young people.

Debbie’s aim to is to provide her clients with a safe and holding space where they can explore the difficulties that impact their lives. She believes that clients deserve to be listened to. Which is important to enable them to feel understood. She values the therapeutic relationship as the safe space for her work.

Debbie has worked with a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and self-harm. This list is not exhaustive. Debbie’s background is in Child Protection; consequently, she understands the long-term impact of abuse and dysfunctional family dynamics.

As an integrative relational therapist, Debbie’s way of working utilises theory from a number of person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. She is currently undergoing training to develop her practice to include Schema Therapy. Which, she hopes to integrate into her work with clients in the future.

clover fernandez counsellor

Clover Fernandez BA(Hons), MBACP

Clover is a qualified counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. She has a bachelor’s degree in counselling and is Schema Therapy trained. Her experience covers both short term and long-term therapy and she is available to work both online and face to face.

Clover’s style of working is integrative and relational, providing a safe, supportive and non-judgemental listening space; aiming to support self-understanding and the development of a strengthened sense of well-being.

Clover’s experience spans a broad area of emotional difficulties. These include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress and borderline personality disorder.


Nicky Green, BA (Hons), MBACP

Nicky’s counselling training enables her to draw on a range of therapeutic skills to best suit an individual’s needs. She seeks to provide a safe space which is supportive, warm and respectful of the experiences that people have had in their lives. She has worked as a counsellor at New Malden since 2013 and in primary health care settings and has experience of a diverse range of problems and issues including anxiety, depression bereavement and relationship difficulties.

Nicky’s background is in the field of health and wellbeing, supporting individuals and the organisations they work within. Her experience in this field led her to value greatly the impact of mental health on overall wellbeing. Nicky has also undergone training to teach mindfulness and continues to develop in this field. 

As an integrative relational counsellor, Nicky’s way of working is informed by the theory and practice of person centred and psychodynamic theoretical approaches.  Her training also means that she greatly values the uniqueness of the counselling relationship and its potential to provide helpful insights and facilitate growth and healing.


Elisabetta Tamiazzo, BA (Hons), MBACP

Elisabetta is a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist holding a Higher Certificate in Person Centred Therapy and a BA (Hons.) in Integrative Relational Counselling. Elisabetta is currently training as an EFT (Emotionally Focus Therapy) couples’ therapist. She has experience in the NHS counselling services and the corporate work environment, working with a diverse range of clients whose difficulties have commonly included anxiety, stress, depression, loss, trauma, abuse and relationship difficulties.

She works with individuals and couples using a mixed relational approach combining Psychodynamic, Person-centred, EFT and CBT with mindfulness and coaching. Elisabetta seeks to provide a safe, contained and supportive environment where clients are encouraged to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Eli is currently taking an extended break from counselling work for health reasons, but she hopes to return in 2023.

Rachel Narinesingh, MBACP

Rachel is a qualified, experienced Integrative and relational counsellor. She is an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) whose Code of Ethics and Practice she adheres to.

Rachel seeks to offer clients a safe space to explore their problems in a safe, non-judgemental, therapeutic relationship. She is passionate about helping people work towards autonomy and benefit from the freedom that comes with understanding oneself better.

As an integrative counsellor, Rachel draws on a variety of counselling models, theories, and techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person-centred counselling and Gestalt therapy. She develops a bespoke therapeutic approach for every individual she works with, and she often works creatively with clients, if that is an area they would like to explore. She works with clients with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues and childhood trauma.

Rachel is currently in the final year of her BA (Hons) in psychotherapy and is also studying Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic therapy, which she hopes to integrate into her work in the future. She knows that coming to see a counsellor for the first time can be a daunting step. However, she strongly believes that doing so can be the start of the change, understanding, and self-insight you may have been seeking.

Rebecca Hill

Rebecca is a trainee counsellor who is currently undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Relational- Integrative Counselling.
 
Training integratively means Rebecca is able to draw on different therapeutic approaches to best suit what the client needs and support them in their journey.
 
Rebecca views the relationship between counsellor and client as an integral part in the therapeutic work, along with creating a safe space where clients can be themselves without judgement, feel heard and understood.

David Hill

Originally from San Francisco, California, David has lived in England for over 19 years.  He is currently undertaking training towards a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling at Kingston College (conferred through Middlesex University).  

With his integrative training, David can work flexibly with clients, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to support them in working through their difficulties. The theoretical approaches he incorporates into his work include Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Existential, and Transpersonal therapies. His aim is to support you to experience life more fully with greater awareness and self-acceptance.   

David is a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and he believes in, and adheres to, its high standards for an ethical and principled practice, holding the health and well-being of his clients as a top priority. This is reflected in his approach to therapy, where he seeks to provide a welcoming, supportive, non-judgemental, safe, and confidential space for clients to explore and discuss whatever they desire.

Angelika Bednarek

Angelika is a trainee counsellor. She is currently studying for a BA in Relational Counselling at South Thames Colleges University Centre, and she holds a Certificate in Higher Education in Psychodynamic Counselling from Birkbeck University.

Angelika has worked as a listening volunteer for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and The Baytree Centre. In these roles, she offered support to vulnerable clients facing a wide range of issues including anxiety, bearevement, loneliness and depression.

In a therapeutic relationship, Angelika seeks to create a warm, empathetic and collaborative space in which clients feel safety and acceptance. She has particular interest in the development of human bonds and in the influence of a client’s past on their present. Angelika speaks English, Polish and Spanish fluently.
